Description
A vibrant and refreshing strawberry frozen margarita recipe, perfectly balanced between sweet and tart with a delightful slushy texture. This is your go-to recipe for any occasion requiring a delicious and easy-to-make frozen cocktail.
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen sliced strawberries
- 4 oz (1/2 cup) Blanco Tequila
- 1.5 oz (3 tbsp) Cointreau or Triple Sec
- 1.5 oz (3 tbsp) freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz (2 tbsp) simple syrup (or agave nectar/honey, to taste)
- Coarse salt, for rimming (optional)
- Fresh strawberry or lime wedge, for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Prepare Glasses and Strawberries: If desired, rim your glasses with salt. If using fresh strawberries, hull and freeze them for at least 4 hours until solid.
- 2. Combine Liquids: In a high-powered blender, add the tequila, orange liqueur, freshly squeezed lime juice, and simple syrup.
- 3. Add Strawberries: Add the frozen strawberries to the blender.
- 4. Blend to Perfection: Blend on a low setting, gradually increasing to high, using a tamper if available. Blend until completely smooth and thick like a slushy. If too thick, add a tiny splash more lime juice. If too thin, add a few more frozen strawberries or a small amount of ice.
- 5. Serve Immediately: Pour the blended margarita into your prepared glasses and garnish with a fresh strawberry slice or lime wedge. Enjoy!
