Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) 80/20 ground beef
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 4 hamburger buns (brioche or sesame seed recommended)
- Optional: 4 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, American)
- Optional Toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo
Instructions
- Gently combine ground beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl. Do not overmix.
- Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and form into 3/4 to 1-inch thick patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each.
- Preheat your George Foreman grill completely (until the ‘ready’ light illuminates).
- Place patties on the preheated grill and close the lid. Cook for 6-8 minutes for medium doneness; adjust for thicker patties or desired doneness.
- For cheeseburgers, add cheese slices in the last 1-2 minutes of cooking and close the lid to melt.
- While burgers rest, lightly toast buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, cut-side down.
- Remove burgers and let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.
