Ingredients
- 2 x 8 oz blocks full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced (or microplaned)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
Instructions
- Allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature for at least 30-60 minutes.
- Finely mince garlic, and finely chop all fresh herbs. Grate Parmesan cheese.
- In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chives, thyme, grated Parmesan, and lemon juice.
- Mix with a rubber spatula or electric hand mixer on low speed until smooth and well combined. Do not overmix.
- Taste the spread and adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lemon juice as desired.
- Transfer the finished garlic herb cheese spread to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to allow flavors to meld and consistency to firm up.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature with your favorite crackers, vegetables, or bread.
