The Garden in Winter

It's not that the garden is neglected, just put to bed for the winter. . . .under a cover crop of Red Clover.  The herb beds are still yielding Italian Parsley, Thyme, Mint, Rosemary and I think I can see Sorrel coming back. The Lovage is resting until early-spring when the Halibut run again. Some of the lettuces I planted in October are small, but appearing due to the unseasonable mild weather and the garlic and shallots we planted in the autumn are springing forth. It's only January, but if the weather keeps up it will be a very early Spring.
