Garden April to May

Once things got underway, the garden became a thing in itself. Our lives became busy, so that recording the tangle the garden became could only be done through photos. We occasionally found time for severe weeding and we were in the garden daily for harvesting--it was a great resource to be able to come home from a busy day and wander through the garden knowing we didn't have much work to do in preparing dinner.

The garden gets a suitable gate.

Beds after the first tilling. This isn't the greatest of soils so we'll be tilling in more organic muck as time goes on.
The last wall finished, and a bonus bed planted with Jerusalem Artichokes and in the fall we'll put Garlic and Shallots up there.
