Do you ever work off of the island?

Yes, we have done many jobs on the mainland, and on Orcas and Lopez Island. On the mainland we are willing to travel from Bellingham to Seattle to make your dining occasion work for you.

The more advanced notice we can have the better, both in terms of our availability and in terms of planning your event to come out as best as possible.

I will happily share my recipes with my customers when they have a favorite.

How much does your service cost?

I get this question a lot. It is a difficult one to answer easily. Simply put, the cost of a meal depends on what courses make up the main, and what ingredients are used in the courses. A great deal also depends on the level of service required. A buffet, formal or informal , will cost more than a sit-down dinner. A simple meal for two couples with full table side service including wine and coffee will cost more than the same meal for twelve where the hostess helps serve from the kitchen. It really depends on the occasion and the budget.

What if I buy the supplies, can I have you just cook from my groceries?

While we are perfectly willing to help you with this sort of meal, it could actually cost you more in the long run. When you buy groceries at your favorite store you will, probably, spend more than we do to get the same things. When we do the buying, we are constantly seeking the best product at the lowest price so that we can keep the cost of our dinners and services down in order to fit all budgets.

What if I, or one of my guests, has a food allergy?

Dietary needs and allergies are easily accommodated as long as we know in advance of the occasion.

What kind of browser do I need in order to make online purchases from The Kitchen Garden Company and kitchengardenfoods.com?

How do I know if something I purchased is on back order?
As you shop, we'll let you know if an item you wish to purchase is on back order or no longer available. If the item is on back order, we'll tell you the date when it will be available for shipment. If an item becomes permanently out of stock after you have made your purchase, we will notify you by email.

How is sales tax calculated?
The Kitchen Garden Company and kitchengardenfoods.com will only charge sales tax to Washington State residents. Delivery charges are taxed only within WA.

How are delivery charges calculated?
Our shipping charges are based on the merchandise total of each delivery address, by applying the shipping method and any handling charge necessary for the purchase. Because our items may be sent either directly from The Kitchen Garden Company, or shipped directly from the source this may vary.

What shipping charges apply to gift certificates?
There is no shipping charge unless you opt for rush two-day delivery, for $6.50. Please note that gift certificate orders take one day to process in addition to the delivery time. Rush orders placed Monday through Thursday arrive in three business days; rush orders placed Friday through Sunday arrive on Wednesday.

Can orders be shipped to foreign countries?
The Kitchen Garden Company and kitchengardenfoods.com will consider this on a case by case basis to help suit your needs.
